Mustards was founded by Ron Smith in 1971 with the concept of bringing the public a high-quality restaurant where careful attention to detail goes into the preparation of all our products. The barbecue ribs, chicken, beef and pork are all smoked and cooked slowly over apple and cherry woods to seal in their naturally sweet juices and flavor. This, combined with our secret original, "rib-tickling" barbecue sauce, affectionately known as "the Sauce", makes for an award-winning dining event.

Mustards has a national reputation for Award-Winning BBQ, and has earned the title, "Best Baby Back Ribs Served by a Restaurant in America" at the national Rib Cook-Off in Cleveland, Ohio. Numerous awards of all kinds have been received, such as "Best Sauce in the West" at the Reno, Nevada Cook-Off as well as judged "Best Ribs in Des Moines."
